Die Casting

More than 40 years’ experience in die casting, Federal machine park is composed in the range of 200 tons to 2000 tons enables Federal to cast parts with weight ranging from 20gr to 28 kg.

Machine park composed with globally known brands such as IDRA, ITALPRESSE, YIZUMI; these machines enable excellent process control and casting of most complicated parts with new technologies.

Tool Making

Tooling is an essential determinant of successful die-casting. In order to ensure design and manufacture of the right tools for the most challenging projects, our Tool Company produces tools within the scope of the Federal Die Casting Company which also helps to us competitive advantage to offer the most advanced die casting process.

In addition to this, Federal also give importance to machining process in tooling which is determined by the optimum fixture and cutting tool to speed up the production phases.

Design and Engineering

Our engineers take precision to a whole new level—focusing on computer aided engineering to produce rapid prototypes and tooling. Providing the right engineering solutions is Federal’s core competence. These right engineering solutions come from our experience with using well known programs such as CAD – Software SOLIDWORKS & CATIA and simulation programs.

Federal tooling process starts with design for manufacturing, where we talk with our customers to make sure any deficit for the part can be vetted and corrected before the tool is built.

During the design phase, we can also predict where the tool will wear and create removable inserts for the tool that can save time and maintenance. Our engineers experience makes a remarkable difference for our customers by giving full technical support because they can modify solutions if any issues arise during the production for make more high quality products.

Melting
Melting is the first and a highly critical step of die casting. To ensure best quality, Federal supplies a large portion of aluminum ingots with the analysis reports from different accredited laboratories.
Surface Treatment

There are many different types of surface finishing that are available. Below is a list of the most commonly used surface finishes.

• Vibrating
• Deburring
• Polishing
• Buffing
• Sandblasting- Shot blasting
• Burnishing
• Rubbing

In addition to this, coating & electrostatic painting methods Federal applies when its requested by a special customer project.

Machining

The most widely used die casting alloy, Aluminum Alloy, is very good for machining purposes. Below is a list of the most commonly used machining for die casting parts.

• Drilling and Tapping
• Milling
• Boring
• Grinding

Federal’s machine park is planned to be extended significantly in the upcoming years according to the new projects.

Prototyping

We are able to make rapid prototyping for both component and tooling production. We build components and tools in-house to ensure the best possible results.

Producing batch quantities of prototype parts with material characteristics and accuracy representative of production die casting.

Sub Assembly

Federal may offer upon customers' request is sub-assembly. Customers might be choosing this service for cost reasons and streamlining their in-house production processes also. Their requests and agreements, various levels of sub-assembly or even full assembly is possible in Federal.

In addition to this, Helicoil assembly, control and testing can be done quickly in our factory.
